Landscaping services around Waterbury VT

How we work

Everything below is the whole agreement. Read it once and you'll know what to expect before we put a shovel in the ground.

The work we do

You'll know the number before we start, and it won't change unless we've talked.

Most of what we do falls into three buckets:

Every job starts with a complimentary walkthrough and a written scope, so you know exactly what we are doing before any work begins.

Walkthroughs and plant questions are complimentary. A garden design is a priced deliverable: it comes with a drawing, and the price is named before the design work starts.

What's included, and what isn't

Every maintenance visit is a dedicated block of crew time sized to your property, not a rushed pass.

Every job includes:

Depending on the season, a visit may also include:

For maintenance clients, these are part of the service at no additional charge.

What's not included:

If you need something not listed here, just ask. We will quote it separately and you will know the cost before any work begins.

Changes to scope. Additional work discovered during a job is communicated before we proceed. No surprise charges, ever. Changes are quoted separately and require your approval. Text or email is fine.

How we schedule

We set the week's schedule every Sunday and confirm your visit day with you. The crew lead will text you 30 to 60 minutes before arriving.

Maintenance visits run on a standing rhythm.

If you ever need us to avoid a specific day (hosting guests, having other work done, and so on), tell Sean and we will adjust.

Consultations and project work are scheduled by mutual agreement with at least 24 hours notice. You grant access to the property for scheduled work. If site conditions are unsafe (lightning, extreme heat, saturated soil), work may be rescheduled at no charge.

Cancelling recurring maintenance: either party may cancel with 7 days' written notice.

Cancelling a project: if a deposit was taken, cancellation after the deposit forfeits 50% of it to cover planning and sourcing time.

Cancelling a single visit: let us know by the evening before. Same-day cancellations after the crew is en route include a small travel charge.

If something goes wrong

If a plant we install fails to establish in its first season, we replace it at no labor charge. If a visit isn't right, we come back.

Plant health. That covers design and install projects, within the first growing season, under normal care conditions. You cover the replacement plant cost. It does not cover damage from drought, flooding, wildlife, neglect, or acts of God.

Visit satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with any maintenance visit, tell us and we will come back and make it right. No additional charge.

The simple version

If something isn't right, just tell us and we'll come fix it. That's the whole agreement.
