Design & install

Driveway island garden

A dead circle of moss and gravel, rebuilt as a mounded island bed around an existing river birch. Granite cobble edge, ten-species native palette planned for bloom from spring through late fall.

Every install starts on paper. The drawing on the left became the garden on the right, though never line for line. We design plans to about 60% on purpose: the final planting comes together on site, with the client, matched to the ground as we actually find it.

Restoration

Foundation bed restoration

A foundation slope lost to bramble, taken back down to soil, regraded around the existing stone, and replanted as a low-maintenance mixed border.

Hillside pollinator planting

A raw graded bank converted to mounded pollinator beds. Shrubs set into ring mounds that hold water on the slope, sheet mulched to suppress regrowth while the planting knits in.
